Why we use it

Advertising on other services

As set out in the Terms of Use, we may show you adverts for Exam Dominance and partner USMLE courses on services such as Facebook, Instagram, Google and YouTube. To do this we upload a list to Meta or Google in which your email address has first been converted into a hash, an irreversible code. The service compares the codes with its own users so the advert reaches you, and then discards the codes that do not match. We may include your country with the list. We never sell your data, and we do not share your study records with anyone.

If you ask us to stop our messages, you are taken off these lists and never included again.

Who else handles your data

Both may process data outside Egypt. Where the law requires, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer for such transfers.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). To protect accounts, we record failed sign-in and sign-up attempts with the IP address; these records are deleted after one day. To detect shared accounts we keep a short history of the networks and browsers each account signs in from, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form and kept for one day. A single session cookie keeps you signed in; it is needed for the site to work. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your own browser.

How long we keep it
